LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY FROM A PRO

Have you ever seen a photo and said to yourself “WOW. I’ll never be able to do that”. Well I have good news for you! And that’s – there are no secrets in photography!

If you want to become a better photographer – then you’re in the right place!

THE “5 P PROCESS”

Photography is more than just clicking the shutter button. Heck even a chimp can get lucky sometimes!

When it comes to taking professional photos – there is no luck involved. In fact a lot of thought goes into every shoot. The way I approach photography is what I call the “5 P Process”…

1: PLANNING
Before you set out to take pictures, there’s a lot to consider. For example – you need to think of the logistics of getting to the location, parking, weather, permits – and most importantly you need to consider what to bring and how much equipment you’re willing to carry.

I’ll show you how I plan my travel, wedding, landscape, cityscape and other photo shoots so you can get an idea of how to start planning.

2: PICTURE TAKING
Making beautiful pictures doesn’t happen by accident. As with any craft – it can take a lot of time to become proficient. But you can fast track your learning if you learn from others!

What separates the pro’s from the Joe’s being able to capture photos in any lighting scenario (or lack thereof). Photography is all about the light and oftentimes you’ll need to bring your own.

In fact – when you learn how to use external lights, you can literally create a set anywhere

It’s also magical when you nail the shot!

Aside from learning how to use external lights on outside – I’ll even tech you how to shoot with studio lights.

Aside from using external lights – I’ll also teach you how to take the guesswork out of shooting in manual mode.

3: POST PROCESSING
This is a HUGE factor in *making photos and every image needs to be edited – or tweaked even if just a little bit at the very least. And when it comes to portraits, we need to retouch images to make people look their best.

I’m not going to lie – learning Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom can be very intimidating. But it’s not that scary once you get into it!

4: PRINTING
Depending on the job, you may need to print albums, large photographs, canvases, metal prints, etc. I’ll show you the best labs I use that will help you book gigs!

As crazy as as it may sound – this custom wood album box has sealed the deal with brides.

Sure my photos had a lot to do with getting “the yes”, but presentation is a huge factor when selling your art.

5: POSTING ONLINE
What’s the point of taking photos and not sharing them online? Sharing your work online is essential!

I’ll show you my workflow on how I post my work on social media and even on the Hive blockchain to make some extra coin. Perhaps one day I’ll even show you how to create an online portfolio website with WordPress.
