So you’re thinking of being a wedding photographer huh? Well let me tell you shooting weddings isn’t for everyone! There are so many things that can go wrong and in some situations you only get one chance at getting the shot. To also add another level of difficulty, emotions run high. People will feel everything from pure joy, to sadness – all in the same day.
Shooting weddings is very exhausting as the days are long – sometimes 12 hours! So be sure not to skip leg day and do a lot of cardio. Plus as a photographer you better know how to use external lighting as you’ll be shooting in cavernous churches and dark catering halls. Even on sunny days you’ll need to use lights to combat those harsh shadows. Being able to direct and pose large groups of people is also a prerequisite. If this sounds scary to you – please leave it to the professionals!
